I had my first chemo infusion this past Wednesday, March 2nd. It was a 6 hour process. The worst part was the IV, of course. I was groggy throughout the whole thing. Brian sat by my side most of the time except when he made a trip to Chili's to get lunch.
It's day 5 of chemo and I have been blessed with a miracle. I haven't had hardly any side effects. My oncologist gave me one of the strongest anti-nausea meds, Emend. So, I haven't had any nausea or food intollerance. I have been taking naps every day and going to bed by 9pm. I also have been walking on the treadmill almost every day. One of the only side effects I have started to have is slight neuropathy-numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. It doesn't really bother me though. I attribute my ability to get through this first week of chemo so well to all of your thoughts, prayers, fasts and selfless service and the love of the Lord. Thank you!!! We are truly blessed...

Hello Amiga,
Thank you so much for sending your blog information to me. I have been reading and getting to know more about you and your family. Your family has grown!!!! Your kids are the cutest. Thanks for sharing your life and making my life better with your thoughts. You are truly a trooper. I have always known you were strong and came to the conclusion that you are stronger than I could even possibly imagine. With all my love and prayers,
Vanessa (from DWS- Salt Lake City)
I am so glad to hear that you are handling the chemo well so far. That is awesome! We will keep praying for you and your family.
It was great talking to you today. I'm glad that the "bad days" are actually going good. I hope this is a sign for future cycles too. You are amazingly strong and I am so impressed by your positivity. You inspire us all! And as always, let me know if you ever need anything, even another batch of those cookies :)
I'm so happy to hear that you are tolerating chemo so well (that kind of sounds horrible, doesn't it?) We are thinking of you and keeping you and your cute family in our prayers.
So glad things are going well for you so far. We'll keep praying for you. Be sure to let me know if you need anything at all.
I hope you and your family are doing alright. I have been thinking of you and the many trials that you must be going through. You are such a great mom. I will continue to keep you and your family in my prayers
We LOVE you!
